All are welcome to attend The Church of St. Francis Xavier’s Christmas Eve Family Mass, where Lori Belilove & The Isadora Duncan Dance Company will be performing Isadora’s Ave Maria exactly 110 years after the piece premiered at Carnegie Hall in December, 1914.
Artistic Director Lori Belilove was inspired to create this fresh staging of Ave Maria as a tribute to Universal Motherhood. This year, watch as the dancers use the full altar and choir areas in site-specific expression. The Company of 5 dancers will perform with live musical accompaniment and choir.
This year features the following Lori Belilove & The Isadora Duncan Dance Company dancers:
Emily D’Angelo
Hayley Rose
Caroline Yamada
Diana Uribe
Kristina Hay (Apprentice)
Carols are sung from 3:15-4:00pm. Service with dancing starts at 4:00pm.
Free and open to all. All are Welcome. Enter on 16th Street between 5th and 6th Avenues in Manhattan.
