Join us and dive into the technique, history, transmission legacy, and the dances of Isadora Duncan.

This workshop explores the breadth and beauty of Isadora Duncan's choreography, beginning with dances that celebrate youth, adolescence, and the natural world before moving into works devoted to love, relationships, and sensuality. No Duncan workshop would be complete without journeying into Greek mythology through dances inspired by the art and ideals of Ancient Greece.

Drawing on Lori Belilove's extensive research in the treasured archives of the New York Public Library, the workshop also includes screenings of her three acclaimed talks: Unveiling the Notebook in Isadora's Hand, The Life of Isadorable Maria-Teresa Duncan, and The Life of Isadorable Anna Duncan. These presentations feature rare archival documents and extraordinary footage of the Isadorables in performance — from their youthful prime to their later years — revealing the timeless artistry, quiet power, and profound eloquence of Duncan's legacy.

As only a seven-second film clip of Isadora Duncan herself is known to exist, these rare recordings of the Isadorables are an invaluable opportunity for anyone passionate about preserving and understanding the Duncan tradition.

Each screening will be followed by a guided discussion, offering participants the chance to reflect on the historical material, ask questions, and deepen their appreciation of this living artistic legacy.
